Information on your water's smell & taste: September 2023

West Burlington purchases water from the Burlington Municipal Waterworks. Recently, the disinfection process introduced chloramines (chlorine and ammonia) to the distribution system. If you have noticed a slightly different taste or smell in your water, it is typically performed once or twice a year over a two to five-week time period to remove biofilms from inside the distribution pipes.
